Acne Treatment

• Discontinue Accutane six months before treatment.
• Discontinue use of retinoic acid products two weeks before treatment.
• Avoid sun exposure or self-tanners at least 4 to 8 weeks before and between treatments.
• Report skin diseases and viruses infections including cold sores, eczema or allergies.
• Do not exfoliate, use glycolic acid, benzyl peroxide or other skin irritant two weeks before treatment.
• Avoid microdermabrasion, hydrabrasion, or peels two weeks before treatment.
• If the skin is red, irritated, or sunburned, the treatment must be rescheduled.
• Report all medications taken the week before treatment.
• Avoid strenuous exercise or any activity which will cause sweating or excessive heat to the skin.
• Avoid alcohol 48 hours before and 48 hours after treatment.

• Avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds or self-tanners for two weeks after treatment.
• If scabs or blisters occur, makeup should not be used for 3 to 4 days.
• For at least two weeks post-acne treatment, do not use harsh topical exfoliators (glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, acne creams, etc.).
• Avoid touching, rubbing, peeling or picking the skin, as this may cause hyper/hypo pigmentation or scarring.
• Can apply pure aloe vera gel to the treated area twice daily until healed and dry.
• For one week, avoid hot baths, showers, hot tubs and saunas. When showering and washing, gently pat the skin and do not rub.
• For 24 hours after, avoid makeup, antiperspirant or topical creams in the treatment area to allow skin to breathe.
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 20 hours following clinical treatment.
• Use SPF 50+ daily.
